Judith
Robinson is a qualified high school English and Music teacher in the
province of Ontario. She has taught a wide variety of subjects for
numerous public and private schools across Ontario.
She has also taught Theatre History/Dramaturgy at the University
of Iowa, and she is currently teaching Writing for Publication online
for the University of Western Ontario and Freelance Writing for the School
of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto.

This
course is designed to improve writing for various forms of
publication. Students will develop skills in the preparation,
writing, copy-editing, and formatting of materials for publication,
focusing in particular on effective organization at every level of
writing. The course will focus on the basic principles and
techniques of good expository writing, and will aid students in
developing precise and elegant prose.

The Freelance
Writing Business -SCS 1390
This
course offers students the opportunity to find their niche, polish
their freelance writing skills, and sell their stories to newspapers
and magazines. Topics
include market analysis, pitching ideas, researching, interviewing,
writing, editing and polishing stories.

Analysis
This
course enabled students to understand the structural development of
plays from the Greeks to the modern era. Through the analysis of
twelve international plays, students began to get a sense of how plays
grow and develop, and how they are shaped by their respective cultures
and societies.
Theatre

This
course gave students a basic understanding of modern theatre, and its
place on the world stage. Ten international plays were studied with
regard to their relationship to their respective societies.
